Meditation is a practice in, not only being present in the moment, but being present to the Divine within. The human condition often tends to be living in the past or a projecting towards the future, neither of which truly exist. Spiritual and Buddhist meditation practices of Loving Kindness, Mindfulness and breath inspired meditations serve to bring the mind and the entire Self into alignment with the present so as to live life more fully and to connect with the Spirit within.
“The moment that judgement stops through acceptance of what it is, you are free of the mind. You have made room for love, for joy, for peace.”
Eckhart Tolle, Practicing the Power of Now: Essential Teachings, Meditations, and Exercises from the Power of Now
“The beginning of freedom is the realization that you are not “the thinker.” The moment you start watching the thinker, a higher level of consciousness becomes activated. You then begin to realize that there is a vast realm of intelligence beyond thought, that thought is only a tiny aspect of that intelligence. You also realize that all the things that truly matter – beauty, love, creativity, joy, inner peace – arise from beyond the mind. You begin to awaken.”
